Ajax held by Arrows

Ajax Cape Town earned a hard fought point in Durban on Wednesday night when they drew 1-1 with Golden Arrows at the Chatsworth Stadium.
The Urban Warriors, with their offensive game-plan, looked more likely to score and they did but at the wrong end when Nazeer Allie scored an own goal on the stroke of half time.
Ajax started the second half with more purpose and was rewarded when Nathan Paulse and Geoge Maluleke combined well to set up Dipsy Selolwane who scored the equalizer.
Ajax could have taken the lead in the 66th minute but Paulse’s header flew just wide, minutes later Paulse’s header was on target but the Arrows keeper reacted well to make a save.
The point sees Ajax Cape Town climb to 41points, in seventh position but tied with Celtic who occupy 6th position because of a better goal difference.
